(no subject)

I am completely surrounded by filkers. This is rather terrifying, now that I think about it.

What, right this second, or in general? I've really enjoyed most of the times I've been completely surrounded by filkers, myself.

I jest. [livejournal.com profile] vixyish and I are at Consonance this weekend. It's our first filk con -- 18 hours until our concert.

You're at Consonance? Did you tell me and I just forgot?

You know, I kept expecting a report on your first filk con, and I never saw one. What's up with that?

Good question. I was kind of leaving that to [livejournal.com profile] vixyish, but now that I think about it she never did either. We both suck. Maybe I'll work on this tonight.

Finally done! But I'd still like to see Fishy do one too.

Well, since he should currently be at Consonance (http://www.consonance.org/), I'd assume that he means literally right now. :) Of course, he's part of Escape Key (http://www.cyphertext.net/escapekey/) with his wife, so it's a regular thing, just on a larger scale now. :)

Fear me! I recently wrote some filk again!

rating one's surroundings

Having now experienced both, I would vastly prefer to be completely surrounded by filkers, than by barbershoppers. While I like good barbershop, less-than-good is painful, and at least with filk there's MUCH more variety of material and style.

*chuckle* And I've been surrounded by both, as well. (used to be a card-carrying member of the SPEBSQSA and Ah-So!). I *looooove* barbershop.

But filk allows me to stay alive. *hug* MUCH better family here...

STOP, DROP AND ROLL, QUICK!!!

Shhhhh Don't tell anyone... we'll try to be quiet.

"I can see why you like to hang out with the filkers. They're not
weird, you can have adult conversations with them, and they don't
smell bad. They're nice. I can leave you with them and not worry."
