Final road test

This will be the last Kalamazoo update before Burning Man. It's all done, more or less, and it works, more or less. I'm going to stain the wood as I disassemble it tomorrow, then it gets packed in the car Thursday night and I drive to Spokane with it Friday after work. The only thing left to be done is to mount the etched brass builder's plate, but the wood needs to be stained first.

You should some year! We have a pretty nice camp set up at this point. I'm thinking of doing a big official art installation next year. Or a big art car? Something big.

Awesome! Is your cell number the same as it was last year in Portland?

If things go as planned, I'll be staying Sunday night in Burns, OR, which is only 4.5 hours from Walla Walla. Getting there by 2 or 3 should work out pretty well.

I hope that the stained wood has enough time to air out for a while before you pack it up in a car. Otherwise you'll be breathin' fumes all the way to Spokane. Maybe you could wrap it up in plastic or something? Keep the windows down?
