Hey, wow, the Republicans are going to offer a gas rebate. Maybe they'll offer a heroin rebate next!

A friend of mine said that currently the government is getting half of the pump price. I don't know about that, but I know that the fed's main tax is 36.1c a gal. States and counties and cities can add to that, not to mention I think there are several 1-4c secondary taxes on the fed level as well.
