This weekend [livejournal.com profile] corivax and I reassembled the ink-roller pivots and connecting rods on the printing press. It's nice to see visible progress as the number of primed parts grows, and with all these bearing surfaces cleaned and greased the motion of the press is noticably better.

Does it actually print at this point, or are there more bearing surfaces to be cleaned first?

*grin* Very cool. Nice to see it more assembled in the picture and was happy-making to see the printing press in person. I like seeing these progress updates on it. =)

Dear readers: this photo doesn't do it nearly justice compared to how pretty it is in person. :)

And the ink wheel at the top makes such a very satisfying Myst-like clank-clank sound.
