On Saturday, when asked for our destination at the border crossing, would it be particularly dumb to say 'Fairbanks and points north'?

I really, really want to.

Well, if you are actually going to Fairbanks...

I don't see why you can't say that. Maybe drop the "points north" bit if you're really worried about how the border guard will react, but if that's the truth, say it!

I'm pretty sure that the "points north" is the whole point of this, though.

My husband's a BIG DORK, you see. :)

Better than saying "Fairbanks" and pointing south!

To Fairbanks... and beyoooond!

Yes, I've watched "Toy Story" and "Toy Story 2" way too many times.

...so where are you headed? Beyond Fairbanks I mean.

So there's this hotel I work for and it's in Alaska... And hey! How come I didn't know about this trip 'til now? D:

All the way to the arctic circle! Woo! Whee! (No, I'm not excited at all...)

And you have at least had some opportunity to hear about the trip - I've mentioned it.

Bua! It is of course very possible that I totally missed that. XD But very cool! How long are you gone for?

No, they won't care, you're American going to some other point of America. Go for it!

You'll treasure the memory so much more if you do, and why should they care? Is that some sort of catch-phrase or something?
