Oooh, I knew someone who lived like that, years and years ago. He was the roommate of a friend. Literally, boxes and piles of books, comics, magazines, newspapers, floor to ceiling.
Then, about two weeks ago, I wandered into a comic store in Burien, and it looked just like his house, smelled just like his house, I was flooded with memories, and then I turned a corner, and it was HIM! He runs a comic shop!
He's going to be buried with 300lbs of his favorite backdated newspapers, I'm sure.

My grandfather might just as well have ended up like that, except he had an entire ex-hotel (4 levels) to fill up. And an amazing ability to balance the stacks.
