Warning: the following is of interest to maybe three people. For nostalgia purposes only.

I dredged up the Richard P. Khan posters. They were in a bright yellow University High folder ('Quality education through... caring, commitment & high expectations') along with random other semi-subversive documents from around then. I had forgotten that I was playing essayist that year, under the pen name 'SQPR for the Dead'. Heh.

All the scans are posted here. Of particular note is the 'reaction poster', which appeared a few days later.

I'd've voted for him!

You didn't actually get in trouble for that, did you?

I did. Seth and I had pulled a similar prank the previous year, and the principal warned us with a wink. This time it was the vice-principal, and she wasn't amused at all. One day of 'in-school suspension', which means you sit in a single classroom all day. Rather silly and distracting to the normal class, really. I had a pretty good time in it. The fearsome Mr. Manfred was the proctor, but I had an inexplicable repore with him. So I got to spend it listening to my walkman and reading.
