CNN: Phoenix drivers asked not to hoard gasoline

So, a gas pipeline was shut down and they're having fuel shortages. Not a big deal. But at the bottom of the page:
"I never knew that gas was going to seem like gold," said Bergeron, who waited 45 minutes at her final stop.

You've only had the last 30 years to get used to the concept! Jesus fucking Christ, am I the only person in the United States who learned anything from the energy crisis? I wasn't even born yet! Gaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Fish's head explodes.

At some point, this country is going to wise up, and charge free-market prices for gasoline, and stop subsidizing it's use. When gas is $4.00 a gallon, like it is in europe, mass transit is suddenly going to be a lot more glamourous. meanwhile, we've got puget sound "activists" trying to open up the carpool lanes for people who pay a special fee.
