The Star Hustler
A minor revelation: The only impression I can really do is Jack Horkheimer. And while I work it in as much as possible, it just isn't a very useful skill.
According to that page, Star Hustler1 is carried on the Armed Services Network. This scares me. Should we really be exposing people with bombs to Jack Horkheimer?
Jack Horkheimer... was the essence of middle school saturday nights. The local PBS station would play the weekly 5 minute show around 10pm. Lonely memories, but reasonably happy ones. Staying up late, watching a variety of british comedy/science fiction. Working on whatever projects had my attention at the time: giant jigsaw puzzles, model making, crude camcorder on/off animation, endless game designing. Sneaking down to the kitchen for illicit snacks. During summer the big family room window was always open, letting in an occasional breeze and lots of rural silence. Everyone else in the house asleep. I was the only thinking being within shouting distance. Isolation, not self-imposed but enjoyed in spite of it. An acquired taste. A self-fulfilling prophesy.
Keep looking up!
1: I know, the show is now actually The Star Gazer. (The internet age made the pornographic connotations of 'hustler' too immediate for the target audience.) But he will always be The Star Hustler to me.
