open question

Over the last two days we have watched Empire Records and UHF. What do they have in common, besides being light-hearted comic romps? They end in triumphant, impromptu street parties.
xiadyn commented on this as an interesting subgenre. So I'm trying to list movies that fit this catagory, but we can only think of the following off the top of our heads. Suggestions?

Pump Up The Volume
Muppets From Space

I was just going to say that -- Ep. I ended in a definite street party, although it was probably not as impromptu as the others. :)
