Odd memory that surfaced this weekend: When I was a kid, I knew I would want personalized license plates when I grew up. I just couldn't decide between CYBORG and PALADIN. Which, thankfully, I never did. (Though I really should get my ham callsign plates someday, if I ever have a vehicle that is primarily mine. I never did find definitive word if you could get them for motorcycle plates.)

Well that's a rare insight into your childhood self-image.

i've been wondering about ham callsign plates for motorcycles myself. the ARRL site (http://www.arrl.org/amateur-license-plate-information) only seems to shows explicit answers for CT (yes), TN (yes), and WY (no). though the WA form (http://www.dol.wa.gov/forms/420499.pdf) linked to from there seems to say it's possible. sadly, apparently not yet available in MA.

I've gotta get new tabs in the next twenty-five hours and eight minutes. I'll check.

Just for fun, I googled my old callsign, KA8GIR (I never broadcast anything with my my novice license, and it has long since lapsed), and there was just one hit, a porn site. So I have no idea if someone has taken over the number. Googling on my dad's callsign actually hit something relevant (http://www.qsl.net/pe1ngz/stories/story-rafiraq.html), and even kind of interesting (from my perspective, anyway).

I don't think cyborg paladin is a playable class, I'm afraid.

Obviously you've never played Rifts.

My custom plate idea in high school was PHD2B. Oh well...
