Did anyone else have the moment, when they were a kid, that they suddenly wanted to stay with the adults and talk at the table after a big holiday meal instead of running off to play? I think that was my first time I was really conscious of growing up.

The thing I realized today is that my "wow, I'm growing up" moment *was* also Christmas-related.... The first time I stayed up to help wrap Santa presents and fill stockings, instead of being sent to bed with the other three kids.
