The new Diane Duane book, A Wizard of Mars, features a cameo of the Spirit MER. Which as the author of spiritrover makes me deliriously happy, because this is as close to being written into the Young Wizard universe as I am ever likely to come.

It's still a weird thing, having an emotional connection to a specific piece of hardware that I have never seen and will never see, 1.1 AU away.
