I was just updating Attoparsec.com, and I decided to finally put up a higher quality demo video of the self-adjusting electro-mechanical sunglasses. So, well, here it is.

In other news, I've been getting more serious about my job hunt recently. No replies yet. (Though apparently my skillset looks good to Discovery Channel casting directors? More details to follow on the off chance anything comes of it.)

I need a monocle version of this to replace my paralysed right iris.

Hrm. I suspect that new generation of high-speed autopolarizers would be the best solution here, but it would make for an interesting problem. Making an actual monocle would be very difficult, even the nylon gear version is quite heavy. But doing a full goggle with only one driven lens would be easy enough. The new (nonfunctional, display only) model I have is actually quite comfortable.

I've seen what are essentially steampunk eyepatches; a single goggle with a strap to cover only one eye. (Monoggle?)
