I was just updating Attoparsec.com, and I decided to finally put up a higher quality demo video of the self-adjusting electro-mechanical sunglasses. So, well, here it is.

In other news, I've been getting more serious about my job hunt recently. No replies yet. (Though apparently my skillset looks good to Discovery Channel casting directors? More details to follow on the off chance anything comes of it.)

awesome!

From the video, one can't be sure that you're not rotating the lenses yourself.

At what points are you changing the light?

Oh, that was under manual control. The automatic mode never worked very well, largely due to problems with the tiny servo. It seems to have a much more primitive control loop than larger servos do, very easy to get it locked into a jittery state.

The lens rotation was under manual control?

Do you have a demo showing the "self-adjusting" mechanism?

Yeah, you can see me twiddling the control pot after turning on the electronics. I just wanted to show the motion of the mechanism and the resulting change in opacity.

I don't have a demo of the automatic mode running, but I could do that.
