NYC trip
Getting into the last minute planning for my NYC trip, on which I leave Wednesday morning. I have a pretty good list of things I'd like to see, but does anyone have any non-obvious suggestions? I only just found out about the New York Transit Museum, for instance. You know me -- geeky, dorky ideas are fine. They're what I'm looking for, really.

Also, you should consider exploring the 14th St station on the ACE&L trains -- the Tom Otterness sculptures are very cute.

There's the Transit Museum, which is excellent.
Lower East Side Tenement Museum, which I haven't been to, but I really want to check out.
I don't know how inclined you are to art museums, but MoMA still has their Tim Burton exhibit up, and a lot of good modern drawing up.
NYC Resistor, if it makes sense to show up (and Thursday is their craft night.)
Naked Girls Reading is doing a show on... Friday, I think? I'm not sure how I feel about the concept, which probably means we should go. A group of friends are going.
Sunday the 31st, I have an invitation to cook Ethiopian food along with about 10 other people (overlapping with the Naked Girls Reading people), and you're invited to that.
ETA: the mailing list of nerdy!arty goings-on-about-town suggests a video art installation party on Thursday night, and their weekend listings will come out sometime on Friday.
