FPS with real guns

What a great project! Oddly enough, it looks even more fun when they start using shovels.

Hee! That does look like fun. And I'm glad to see they were sensible about safety, too.

that's seriously cool. excellent way to practice combat firing. i'm imagining a course set up with many different screens, all set up to show good guys/bad guys. go through the course, cappin the bad guys with live ammo.

sweet.

It's only okay until they break out the shovels. I mean, it's cool, but it's pretty much all theory when you're watching it on a video. But get out the shovels, and then it's frikkin' hilarious, even in video.

I want to see it done with a more serious handgun. I think the anemic nature of that little peashooter they're using doesn't help the video any.

Really, once you have something like this set up, I'd want to try out all KINDS of firearms. Not sure how well a shotgun would register, though...

Isn't this basically what they've done in police training ranges for a long time?

I think getting into the practical shooting sports (as they call themselves) could be a real blast, all puns intended. That's where they do all the scenario shooting with silhouettes, etc.
