As far as I can tell, the article's claim that 80% of job losses have fallen on men is wildly wrong. From the US Bureau of Labor and Statistics I got this page: http://www.bls.gov/opub/ted/

It looks like women's unemployment is up by about 3% and men's by a smidge under 5%, making the relative increase... um, 62.5% "falling on men"
