CNN Continues To Smoke Crack
So, Clinton and Dole are going to start doing Point/Counterpoint on 60 Minutes. That's pretty cool and all -- I can't get enough Clinton, really. The more he is on TV, the more I can work my pet theory into conversation.
But that isn't really the point. The point is that CNN is letting semi-literate high school english students write their copy:
I can just picture the reporter smoking behind the gym. "Dude, this is so awesome. I worked an SNL reference into that Clinton/Dole story. And it's, like, relevant, so Mr. Turner can't give me detention for saying 'slut' or anything!"

The original segment was a popular feature on "60 Minutes" in the 1970s, and its notorious contentiousness even spawned a "Saturday Night Live" spoof in which Dan Aykroyd famously began his responses to Jane Curtin with "Jane, you ignorant slut."

Hey love
I amused myself when I found a newspaper with pictures of Clinton and Dole with Point Counterpoint written under it by putting a talk bubble over Clinton that said "Bob, you ignorant slut" and I was the only one who got it.
Yes, I need a life.
