Aah, lazy winter Saturdays at 49N. Sleep in late, take my time heading into campus, and the sun was already setting when I left. No daylight for me today.

(The thing is, I love it. I love the sense of change and the progression of the seasons. I'm quite happy living in this temperate rainforest climate, away from the continental extremes of hot and cold, but I'd hate to live someplace without real seasons.)

I could do with a little *less* seasonal shifting. Maybe about half as extreme.

Right now I feel like I could sleep the whole winter away. That alternates with a strange longing for the massive winter insomnia where I'd stay up till dawn.

I hate the dark evenings but the days with bright light and the fall leaves are really wonderful.

I agree completely. Things would get so boring if the seasons didn't change. I always welcome Fall and Spring with equal zeal.

I still miss the extreme temperatures, but I'm actually starting to get used to this temperate climte... Saying that I like it might be pushing it, though.
