ding-dong etc

Last summer I took that picture with fond hopes that it might become very ironic on November 4th. (What kind of jackass names an airport after himself, anyway?) Those hopes just became a lot more concrete: TED STEVENS GUILTY ON ALL SEVEN COUNTS.

Man, it just couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. See you in the 'tubes, Ted.

Did you make sure to fill out the proper disclosure forms on that gift of Free Public Wireless Internet Access that you received from the airport?

Or was it just a loan?

Maybe, but I don't exactly see him getting reelected now. Let him stay and fight! The more dramatic his fall, the happier I am.

I wouldn't bet on it

He's from Alaska. They're known for being contrary so I wouldn't bet money he won't be re-elected.

ChattyCowOrker pointed out to me this afternoon: if he *were* to leave office, guess who gets to appoint his replacement?

Guess who's apparently not prohibited by any rule or law from appointing *herself*?

Wacky.
