Why did no one tell me there was an International Alchemy Conference?! I want to submit a paper for next year, all done up nicely in LaTeX. Reevaluating Hermetic Traditions: Towards the Red Powder.

(Also, there is a Flamel College! Reality is always weirder still.)

Modern lab alchemy is an interesting thing... Though for myself I quickly realized that while I liked the lab techniques, the spiritual aspects struck me as um, well, really not for me.

Neurobiology, computational proteomics, and rehabilitative medicine are useful pieces for me. I suspect I'm a systems biologist.

I'm confused as to just how serious these folks are. Afraid I'm very unfamiliar, with uh, "modern lab alchemy"?

Strange strange world out there.
