I just finished the new Stephenson book Anathem. And, wow. I was completely hooked after the first... well, 100 pages or so. It's a dense universe he sets up, but completely worth it.

The Baroque Cycle was similar, but less so.
I found myself wishing that we'd get two more equal-sized books from this universe, but the marked lack of a lack of dénouement makes that seem unlikely.
I guess I'll just have to re-read it two times.
