I'm very pleased that my Nalgene bottles now have playa dust as well as Mackenzie mud in the threads.

For the record, playa dust has the opposite lubrication effect on my shoelaces. They're sticking better now, while after the Mackenzie they had a horrible tendency to come undone, even when double-tied.

The insides get washed out quite regularly! The outsides don't really matter. :)

For me the threads qualify as the insides. Water gets in there, the bottle gets shaken around.

Those things are getting thoroughly washed if I'm going *anywhere* with you.
