New boots! And replacement hiking cookware to use while my really nice titanium set is lost in storage. All for the low low price of zero dollars, thanks to a gift certificate and a my co-op refund. (Only $80 for last year! I really thought I'd break my previous record, what with the epic wilderness trip I had to outfit and all. Weird.)

It's nice visiting REI again. I miss it so! Vancouver has MEC, which seems nice enough, but it just kind of creeps me out. The logo, store layout and product selection are so close to REI it feels like I've walked onto a movie set.
