I have had 'Sloop John B' stuck in my head for a good three days now. I'm worried something is going to break in there.

Crap. Now it's in my head, too.

I had it in my head for years until I finally tracked down an mp3. A few hours of looping, and it was gone for good.

After four or five days, I start wanting to break something myself.

Filk it. That'll solve the problem.

I have a friend who swears by the Ramones as a cure for any earworm. He says it doesn't matter which Ramones song as they are all the same song, which is why the Ramones song, in turn, won't get stuck in your head.

This doesn't work at ALL for me, but it works well enough for him that I thought I would mention it.

it beats having "They're Coming to Take Me Away" stuck for 5 years!

I still think "Sloop John B" sounds like the name of a rapper.
