This weekend marked the first major change to my utility belt configuration in almost 2 years. I switched out the digital camera with a much smaller model my parents gave me for Christmas, and finally replaced the lost monocular. It's weird to suddenly be a good centimeter narrower.

Current components:
Leatherman (Charge XTi)
LED flashlight
Sharpie (retractable)
Digital camera
Monocular
PDA/Cellphone
50 feet of 3mm utility cord (built into the belt itself)

So, have you actually had an opportunity to use your 50' of rope?

Me, I just carry (in my coat pockets) my keys, a chapstick thingy, my wallet/cardholder, gloves, and (on my belt) my smartphone and my cardkey. I also sometimes haul around a messenger bag with things like my checkbook and a couple of CDs I like to have available (Sooj, Vestia, Nightwish).

Nope, not once. It's... not the most practical of features. But with the mark II rope belt, it doesn't really get in the way, either. Worth it just for the chance it will someday save the day. :)

Now if there were a collapsable 10' pole... ;)
