BBC Maps

One of the traits I associate with the BBC is that all their maps have an insert showing the area in relation to the greater world. Which is great, particularly how it emphasizes their global nature. But I'm not sure how to interpret the inclusion of one in this article. It takes things a bit further:



(I'm also a bit disappointed that, not only don't the phases of the Earth and the moon match, but neither is actually correct!)

I wish it were to scale, too: that's one big honking asteroid (and one tiny little sun.)
