In Canada you don't proctor an exam. You invigilate an exam.

I always thought Proctor sounded like it should involve latex gloves. Which, actually, was fitting for many of the exams I took...

It's invigilate here in Malaysia too... which isn't surprising, since our education system was developed when we were Brit-owned.

Hm, at McGill we used both interchangeably. Though the official title of the people was Invigilator.

Maybe we just had a lot of murricans around or something.
