.--. ---- -..-

I'm sitting at PHX, waiting for a late flight. This place is absolutely plastered in no smoking signs. At what point will those start to disappear? There are all kinds of illegal, antisocial activities that no one bothers to sign against.

The TTS announcement and paging system here is still pretty keen, though.

They're zoning. You can smoke in most (outdoor) public places, but not here.

Sky Harbor? Zoning. :D

Most illegal, antisocial activities aren't ones people are quite as likely to perform in public for long periods of time, are they? Littering is over quickly, and peeing is usually at least somewhat surreptitious.

Probably not until it's actually illegal to smoke. Or at least until there aren't as many people who grew up in a world where it was legal to smoke anywhere. I still can't get over the fact that it used to be legal to smoke in movie theaters - don't you think that would've interfered with the projection? Maybe it's just me.
