For no particular reason, I'm trying to find out what the font used in the official Canada logo is. I can't even figure out what it's called, much less find specifications for it. (Which is pretty odd for a country that has trademarked their flag.) Anyone have any idea?

It's called the '"Canada" wordmark' (http://www.tbs-sct.gc.ca/fip-pcim/can_e.asp).

"A modified version of Baskerville" says Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Federal_Identity_Program#Canada_wordmark).

Aha, thank you!

It's always been strangely comforting to me that my government has a unified symbology like that.

It just seems like the way a government ought to work. And then I come here and everything is all over the place in dirty buildings filled with people who hate me.

:)

I just love that you have a corporate identity program for your government.
