I just got back from the James Watson reading. Except he didn't actually read from anything. Some quotes:

On the state of public views of science:

There are some people who, if we could clone people, I wouldn't want cloned.

Sure, genetically modified substances should be tested. But so should all those herbal supplements they sell.
