I just measured the fuel usage of my old Coleman campstove. It took 100ml of white gas to boil enough water for a basic meal (hot beverage + noodles + cleanup water) for 4 people. Over a 5 week trip, that would mean 7 liters of fuel, or a bit under 2 gallons. So I think I'll buy another 2 gallon jugs from REI, and also take the mostly-full one I already have as a reserve.
