I'm on the train on the way to visit UO. This is an awesome way to travel. I feel so... civilized.

I shared a table in the dining car with 3 freshmen from OSU and Portland State. They were pleasant company, but the difference in life experiences at times started to resemble a chasm. It didn't leave me feeling old, exactly, but it does leave me wondering at what point I'll entirely lose what little ability I had at relating to people outside my social circle.

I'm not so worried about that. We tend to pull each other into crazy new experiences, in a feedback loop.
