Surface Plates

My surface plate roughs arrived! They're nice little castings, very pleasing. USPS really got screwed with their flat rate shipping on these. Other than the airspaces around the ribs, the box was solid cast iron.



I won't be able to start on the scraping until the machete is finished, though. I think I'm going to work on the handle tonight, then run out tomorrow for some leather for the scabbard.
