The NFL just claimed that any 'description or account' of this broadcast required their permission or it was violation of their copyright.
Luckily they didn't say anything about descriptions or accounts of their breathtaking, unilateral expansion of copyright. So this post should be okay.
Edit: Okay, so apparantly this is nothing new. (Shows how often I watch sports broadcasts.) It's still crazy and ridiculous.

I haven't heard of them trying to enforce the licensing rules on bloggers yet, but I suppose they could try if they wanted to do so.
And yes, MLB and the NBA use similar copyright statements.
