(no subject)

I was supposed to go snow-camping this weekend, but my partners in adventure fell sick. So instead today I tested the cold-weather gear with a nice little hike, finished the primary grinding on the new machete blade, and formed1 an LLC. Not bad, I guess.

1: Started the paperwork, anyway.

I wish we could next weekend, but we have our 60' dive then, and the 2 weekends after we won't be on the continent. Which is a lot of fun, but not very condusive to shared adventures :/ What gear did you end up getting?

Snow camping? Neato! We're preparing to go fourth-season ourselves, just bought crampons and ice axes for ice climbing lessons. What gear were you testing and how did you like it?

Oh, just a nice new fleece coat and pants, full set of wicking long underwear, good wool socks. Nothing too fancy, but it worked like a charm. There is a little ravine park near our house, so I did the loop through it and really pushed myself on the way back up the hill. Very comfortable the whole way.
