I've been working on my gradschool Statement of Purpose for about 6 hours now, more or less continuously. And maybe it's just a form of Stockholm Syndrome, but I think I'm starting to like it.
Cool! Sounds like it's going more smoothly than mine, which involved two weeks of panic and crying fits. Then tylik kindly explained to me, from her project manager veteran status, that the personal statement is not just "Let us judge you on your pathetic 500 word attempt to justify your existence!" but more along the lines of "Do you see us as the same school we do? Do you think you'd actually be happy here with us? Because if you're not, it'll be all embarrassing for both of us, so please tell us why you think we're cool and a good match for you."
