last minute, Seattle only

Anyone want to catch the midnight showing of An Inconvenient Truth tonight?

Edit: It was quite good. Gore has turned into quite the little rockstar. I continue to think he could have a chance in 2008 if he wanted it -- provided he could stay as animated and personable as he is today.

My sweetie and I are making a date of it, actually. I'm really looking forward to it.

I wish he WOULD run, but I can't help but wonder if some credible death threats stopped him last time.

Maybe he'll run after Jeb gets his shot in...

I haven't given up the hope for a Gore/Obama ticket. It would have a better shot than Hilary against McCain/Jeb.

True, though I was tempted to think Gore/Hillary. But then I realized that would be about as successful as McCain/Jeb. For about the same reasons, too: the Veep would want the Main Job.

Jeb's being groomed to be Prez; he'd never be happy with being Veep.

Can we say "Dynasty", anyone?

While the right's busy proposing constitutional amendments, can I suggest one? I'd like to see it unconstitutional for immediate family members to occupy the same office. Consecutively or not.

(That means no father-son, and no husband-wife either. I don't like Hillary, but even if I did, I'd be weirded out by the paucity of fresh faces on the other Capitol Hill.)
