Huh. If I'm careful with my vacation time over the next 18 months, I could have a very comfortable six week block saved up for the Mongol Rally. And if we get done early, well, Beijing would be just a 30 hour train ride away...

if i have some sort of enormous financial windfall by then, count me in. Even if I don't I should be getting a little geo metro (a 1 L motor) that I would love to fix up for a rally :)

I'm still hoping we can buy a vehicle in Europe instead of having to ship one over. More in the spirit of things anyway to buy some beater the week before. :)

To clarify/expound on my comments yesterday, I would be more than happy to come to .uk to help get the expedition ready to go, but I don't think I would actually be up for the expedition itself. Although I'm reconsidering...
