I think The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances makes a very strong case for being the best Doctor Who arc ever. I just watched it again and wow. Still mad at Eccleston for leaving, though.

Woooo. Best ever? That's 167 serials that it beats out. Very high praise indeed. It's good there's no doubt, might be the best of the new series, but my favorite is still Aliens of London/World War Three.

Of course the story I can't get enough of is Mind of Evil, that and Keys of Marinus, and Key to Time, and pretty much anything by Holmes or Nation.

Yes, I watch far too much Who. I'll go away now.

I was just thinking about it today — I think it actually makes sense that he left so quickly. He put in his best, he made it good, a proper dashing enigmatic Doctor, and then went out with a bang. It's probably better for his career this way, probably better for the Doctor Who franchise dramatically, and ... quality over quantity, you know.

I like him.

It's my favourite so far, certainly. But I don't think I've seen enough of the original series to really judge. But -- extra points for having Jack in it.

Indeed, seconded (though Father's Day tugged at the heartstrings.)

"Everybody lives, Rose. Today, EVERYBODY LIVES!"

Also, omfg Cap'n Jack... *sigh*

/stalked you through mutual LJ friend -- had to comment on Doctor.
