I was watching a program last night on elective surgeries and one of the cases was a FTM double mastectomy. It's nice that a fairly mainstream show can include that without it being a big deal. (And the final result, along with the T injections, was really very impressive.) But I kept cracking up at the before and after shots, because the nipples were only blurred in the before shots. They're the same nipples! Breasts just make people go all weird.

Back in the late 60s, I was in an experimental grade school that had sex ed for everybody, boys and girls together some parts. I don't remember much specifically that went on, only that I got a decent education in some biology and contraception. They were very thorough in covering contraception, especially the second year I was there and they had a junior high class going as well.

Anyway that first year the teachers (one lady and one man) were trying to make the point that there were actually very few differences between males and females. One guy, Nathan, my age third grade I'd guess, took strong umbrance to this. There was nothing girly in him. Girls were eww yuck and he had nothing in common with them.

Well one of the teachers pointed out that he had nipples. He came apart a bit at that point.
