Buckskin tanning

I'm seriously looking at taking this buckskin tanning class in southern Oregon in November. I don't suppose anyone reading this would be interested in joining me? It would be nice to have some company, particularly for the drive, but for some reason no one I've talked to is particularly interested in spending a weekend learning to rub raw brains into deerskins.

Hmmm. You know, that actually does appeal to me. I have camping stuff, too. I have to do book publicity sometime in November, though, and I don't know when yet. Also, you've met me all of twice, so I dunno if you know me well enough for your comfort level.

I'd heard of chronic wasting vauguely, right before I left the lower 48 for a place where we have moose instead of deer. Got any reliable links you could put up?
