I don't particularly care if the new pope was really a Nazi or not. I just wish there was a sauce called nurembergaise, because that would make the idea of Eggs Ratzinger really funny.
1. He was in the Hitler youth, which was the 3rd Reich's answer to the boy scouts.
2. The avrage German citizen and even the German privates in the army didn't know about many of the atrocities being comitted by the Nazies. That was kept in the higher levels for the most part.
I'll give him the benifit of the doubt in that respect.
