The really twisty part is that I'm pretty sure a majority of the Bloc Quebecois don't *actually* want to separate, where separate means anything like what you or I would mean by the word. If you ever get a chance, dig up some of the pro-separatist literature from past referenda. It's a hoot. There were even 'OUI' signs where the O was a big loonie. ('Cause, you know, you can ditch being Canadian and convince the Canadians to share their mint, along with all the other stuff you don't actually want to give up.)

I wish Gilles Duceppe would convert to Canadianism and run the country instead of being a separatist, though.
