I suspect it's mostly that they're just names we haven't heard. If we lived in Iceland or Sweden, there'd be so many Trygves and Hammarskjolds we couldn't see straight and if we were from Spain we'd be so sick of Perez De Cuellars we'd just cry. Picasso's real name was like twenty words long, wasn't it?
