Yes, real absinthe, imported from the Czech Republic by way of the UK. I got it about a year ago and have been slowly working my way through it ever since. Very interesting stuff. If it wasn't for the taste (and the price) I'd be a huge fan.
The emphasis in that article is on chronic. A similar paragraph describing alcohol abuse or nicotine poisoning would look just as frightening. They are all poisons that can be safely and profitably harnessed.
