Tomorrow (October 9) at 10am, tickets go on sale for a complete Lord of the Rings trilogy (including the extended editions of LotR and TTT!) showing at Cinerama. This will be December 16, starting at 1pm. See the Cinerama page for more details.

Friday (October 10) at 10am, tickets go on sale for Matrix Revolutions at the Pacific Science Center IMAX. Opening day is November 51, and because they're releasing it simultaneously around the world, the screening it at 6am. Tickets can be bought from their website.

These are obviously Deeply Important Events, which are always better experienced with friends. I'm not going to deal with buying tickets in bulk this year. It's a huge hassle and I can't really afford to float that much on my cards this year. So if you want to tag along, you'll have to buy your own tickets.

1: Yes, Matrix Revolutions is opening on Guy Fawkes Day. Given the time of day, bonfires for the line waiting to get in might be appropriate.

Gack!

The thought that leaps to mind, of course, is that this is when we all get our strawberry-statement letter of instruction, leaving the theater to go directly to our revolutionary battle stations for a simultaneous direct action worldwide.

Well, I can dream, can't I?

:-(

LOTR marathon tickets were supposed to have gone on sale a little over an hour ago. No sign of them yet, though ...
