After the camera broke I had to come up with a video project that I could do entirely in front of the computer. The result is Creator, which was screened at the 911 Media Arts Center last night. I really should post about screenings here before the fact.
Creator is rather odd for me, bordering on the experimental. It is narrative, but only weakly. My range of video tricks was expanded in the making of this: first done at full DV resolution, lots of rendered CG effects, chromakey shots (moderately effective for once) and general fancy digital play. Overall I think it works pretty well. I'm quite pleased with the production values of it, though my 'acting' in it could be improved.
