I've been reasonably busy recently, and I've had my nifty new digital camera with me for most of it. All links are to rather large images. I should implement a preview mode for Erato. Until I do, however, you'll just have to suffer. Or not look at my images, whichever.

As I posted earlier, I replaced the alternator in the car. I now present photographic evidence. Notice how shiny and new it looks. That's because it is new.

While down at Home Depot buying replacement process tools (which never ended up being used) I remembered to get a good shot of this happy little family of satellite dishes on the side of the Starbucks building.

Friday night [livejournal.com profile] vixyish and I went to a screening of Apollo 13 at the Boeing Museum of Flight. It is a wonderful movie, sure, but we went because Fred Haise himself was there to introduce the movie.

Saturday [livejournal.com profile] vixyish, [livejournal.com profile] cria_cow and I drove down to Portland. Being horribly vain, I took this self-portrait on I-5. (I love how very northwest the image is. Foggy sky, evergreens visible in the mirror, and a plane just taking off from Boeing Field in the background.) In Portland we met up with [livejournal.com profile] xiadyn, [livejournal.com profile] menhir and [livejournal.com profile] petorawolf for a TMBG concert. At the diner we went to afterword there wasn't a large enough booth for the 6 of us, so they stuck us in a bundling booth. It probably isn't actually very funny, but I just can't use the term 'bundling booth' enough.

I think you can get some money if you turn in the old alternator... I seem to remember, the first time I had to get mine replaced, the independent mechanics saying something about a coring fee (is that right?) associated with putting in new alternators.
